Instructor Aaron Butler

Aaron Butler's martial art studies began with Kenpo at the age of eight. In high school he picked it up again at the Center for Self Defense where he studied and trained in sparring and fighting techniques. Later he began taking Jujitsu classes and learned the fundamentals of boxing in the gym while attending Curry College.

Aaron began taking classes at the Academy of Health and Martial Arts in 2000. Here he cross trained in Shaolin Longfist and Hung Gar Kung Fu & Kenpo Karate under Master James Rath and Instructor Tess Rath. Within a month Aaron was attending as many classes as possible and also began slowly working into the Internal Arts; Tai Chi, Bagua Zhang, and Xing Yi Chuan which later would become his main focus in the arts. Aaron won several tournaments including first place in black belt sparring, 1st place in double broadswords, and 1st place in Bagua forms demonstration. Since his training at the Academy of Health & Martial Arts Aaron has earned 3rd degree black belt in Kenpo and 2nd degree black sash in Kung Fu.

In 2004 Aaron Butler began teaching full time at the Academy of Health & Martial Arts in Manchester NH. Then in 2010 Aaron Butler and his students moved down the street to The Training Station with Terry Dow and Christina Davidson. Here he hopes to broaden even further his own training while sharing his knowledge in kung fu and the internalarts to add even more diversity to The Training Station.
