
21 Point Yoga Stretch with Christine Miller
Christine Miller is an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Personal Trainer and has been since April 2006. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from FSU. Christine became interested in yoga through her dance training. When she became a personal trainer she realized how beneficial it would be to combine a personalized weight training program with a yoga program that focused on the mind/body connection as well as increased flexibilty in the muscles and better range of motion in the joints.
With the 21 Point Yoga Stretch Class Christine will teach 21 classic yoga poses emphasizing proper body alignment and breathing techniques. In this class one can expect to gain an awareness of their body (or if more experienced heighten awareness) and how the body functions most efficiently. Each participant will learn their individual points of resistance (areas they are tight) and how to overcome them or at the very least work with them. In addition to gaining flexibilty participants can expect to gain core strength, increased range of motion in the joints, and an overall sense of being less stressed.
