Eugenio “Gino” Travallano

Born in Italy, Eugenio Traballano began practicing Full Contact Kick Boxing in 1986 and two years later, in 1988, he was introduced to the variety of Combat Sports by his second trainer M. Cortese.

He competed in Savate, Muai Thai, Kick Boxing (international rules) reaching a record of 17 victories, two draws, and three losses. His highlights are:

1989 - Savate Combat Regional Champion

1989 - Savate Assaut National Vice-Champion

1992 - Ranked 10th in the WKA Italia Kick Boxing Professional

1994 - 3rd place at the Savate Combat National Championship

1996 - 2nd place at the Savate Combat National Championship

In 1992 he achieved his first Instructor certification in Savate and starts his own school, Ecole de Combat, with long time training partner, and current trainer of the Italian Savate Team, Professor Marco Gilotti. For a short while he trained in France at the I.N.S.E.P. with the Equipe de France and Richard Sylla. In 1999 he certifies Silver Glove 1 and moves to the US where he joined the United States Savate Federation and took the position of National Technical Advisor.

In 2008 he coached one of the largest US teams participating to the Savate Assault World Championships and went back to Europe to certify as Silver Glove 2.
